4. ASSESSMENT OF IMPACT 4.1. Evaluation criteria the students What are the appropriate tools and criteria to evaluate students? Assessment is considered in the college as an ongoing process of gathering, analysing and reflecting on evidence to make informed and consistent judgments to plan for and improve future learning and teaching development. According to the Bologna Declaration, aimed at establishing a common European Higher Education Area (EHEA), assessment processes should determine the extent to which learning outcomes have been achieved. Although assessment can be formative (FA) or summative (SA), the superiority of FA is well-established as it serves the purpose of promoting students' 21st century skills of life-long learning, and differs from SA, which is designed primarily to serve the purposes of accountability or ranking (source). Tools and measures for assessing outputs are being implemented. These tools are used to assess and evaluate both, the activities of the students and the actual results of pilots. Tools and criteria include peer review feedback, partners’ feedback, follow- up on students’ career, assessment questionnaires developed for the academic activities. Page 54 of 58
