4.2. Sustainability and Dissemination of information
How to disseminate the results of the programme to wider audiences? How to engage students and professionals to creative leadership programmes.
As the department’s LLL activities spread, so too do the sustainability efforts. These are taking form and shape in seminars, conferences, courses and workshops offered to external bodies affiliated with not just the department of Photographic Communication, but with other Hadassah College departments, involved in Life Long Learning and professional betterment.
These include among others:
• Visual media applications for handling language and communication disabilities
(A joint course for advanced students of Communication Disorders and Photographic Communication)
The course presents a theoretical and practical foundation for visual media to address language and communication disorders. The course presents a clinical theoretical background on language and communication disorders in children and adults: types of disabilities and disorders, linguistic, cognitive and emotional aspects of disabilities, accepted treatment methods, and the role of the clinician.
Various digital tools are presented for therapeutic purposes in the fields of language and communication, with an emphasis on the interactive dimension of the tool and on the usefulness of digital media to address language and communication disorders. The various applications of the tool will be presented, with a connection to specific therapeutic purposes.
